Mouth guard is a protective device for the mouth that covers the teeth and gums to prevent injury to the teeth.
Why Do People Need a Mouth Guard?
Grinding or clenching of teeth (known as bruxism), which may be linked to stress and tend to occur during sleep. This can cause headaches, migraines or TMJ (Temporo Mandibular Joint) pain.
Essential for anyone playing contact sports. You only have 1 set of adult teeth, and if they are damaged or knocked out, there is a life-long consequence of having false teeth or maintenance of the repair filling.
The Duration for This Treatment
30 minutes appointment.
What to Expect
- The dentist will take an impression of your teeth.
- The impression will be sent to a dental laboratory.
- You may expect the device to be ready from 8-10 working days.
- The dentist will let you try and adjust the thickness if necessary.
