Night Guard
Mouth guard is a protective device for the mouth that covers the teeth and gums to prevent injury to the teeth.
Why Do People Need a Night Guard?
Grinding or clenching of teeth (known as bruxism), which may be linked to stress and tend to occur during sleep. This can cause headaches, migraines or TMJ (Temporo Mandibular Joint) pain.
If you find yourself consistently having the symptoms described above, you may need to wear a nightguard. A night guard is an acrylic device worn on your upper teeth and helps to prevent teeth wear as well as reduce the pressure on your jaw muscles and jaw joints.
The Duration for This Treatment
30 minutes appointment.
What to Expect
- The dentist will take an impression of your teeth.
- The impression will be sent to a dental laboratory.
- You may expect the device to be ready from 8-10 working days.
- The dentist will let you try and adjust the thickness if necessary.
